Submitting a Material Sample for Approval



The contractor creates a material sample for approval and will then collaborate with the Project Manager to address any project cost and timeline impacts.

Instructions:



The steps for submitting a request for materials sample approval are as follows:

Head to Design Management module (Project Dashboard > Sidebar > Site Materials) and select Request for Approval Material Sample.

On the Request for Approval Material Sample summary page, click on Create Ticket. This will open the Request for Approval Material Sample form.

Fill out the Subject field and select the Date Required.
Define the Trade of what you will ask for approval by selecting from the dropdown list.

In the Request Details section, select the Submission Type.
Choose Yes or No if the request has Cost Implication.

Then, fill out the following fields for a detailed evaluation of the request.

Description
Supplier
Manufacturer
County Origin
Specification
Drawing Reference
Location of Application

To attach documents, click the + sign button and a data grid with record entry options is displayed below. Fill out the fields for each record you intend to add.

Fill in the Document Name and Notes fields.
To attach a File or Image, click on the corresponding buttons.
Click on the icon to add the attachments and click on the X button to cancel.

Click on the Edit Row icon to edit the newly added record, and then click on the Bin icon to delete it.

Once done, click on Submit Ticket.

The ticket will be reviewed by the Project Manager and the Designer. Once reviewed, it will be routed back to the Contractor to estimate the project impact and then the Project Manager will review it.
