Updating a Project Task



Once the task has been assigned to the appropriate owner, the task owner will tag it as ongoing then proceeds to work on it. The task stays in the task owner’s lane until it is completed. Once the task is completed, it will be routed back to the user who assigned the task for review. Once the task has been reviewed, it will be marked or routed to done.

Instructions:



To update an ad hoc task, below are the steps to follow:

On the Steer dashboard, an assigned ad hoc task will show under Tasks. Click on the Ad hoc Task needs to be done.

Review the information and the attachments of assigned ticket and change the status to Ongoing.

Click the ✔ Approve button to save the changes made on the task.

Once the task has been completed edit the ticket by changing the status to Completed in the Task Status Update section. Add Remarks if any.
Relevant documents and images can also be attached. To attach these, click on Choose a File.

Click the ✔ Approve button to save the changes of Completed task.

Once the ticket is submitted, it will be routed back to the person who assigned this task and will review it.

Once done reviewing, the ticket will move forward to Done by approving the ticket otherwise, send it back to the task owner if there are revisions.

Once routed back to the task owner the ticket will be returned to Task Completion stage, where the task owner will change the status to Ongoing and proceed to work on it again.
