Project Creation on Steer

Steer is a friendly user platform for managing projects that can be easily created and configured with simple steps. When you create a project, it sets up a dedicated workspace for all your project-related tasks, documents, and records. So, creating a project starts with creating a dedicated tenant instance on your behalf. Once the tenant instance is created, it proceeds to migrate solutions by transferring data and configuring access settings.

Navigating to the Project Modules

Steer Dashboard Sidebar > User selection > Projects > [Select the name of a project]

Setting up Project Admin

The Project Admin is responsible for configuring user access, permissions and other account settings to ensure that every member of the project team has access to respective workflows and resources.

The project creation process begins with the client providing input on the tenant email ID, which should be a role-based business email. Within the next 24 hours, the client will receive an email and confirm the tenant account email address by clicking the link directed to a page where they can set their password.

Using the admin account, proceed with configuring the access settings on Steer.

To set up admin access settings, here are the steps to follow:

Steer dashboard sidebar > Admin > Admin sidebar > Access Settings.

Prior to configuring the access settings, the project admin should invite users through the User Management module.

In the Access Settings page, select each user that you want to give project module access by checking the Assign License and ability to create projects by checking Project Admin checkbox on their name.

Enabling the Project Admin Access Settings also gives specific users permission to create and manage projects, as well as access to the Gantt Chart, Document Gallery, and Photo Gallery.
