Clearing your device's cache

After an update, we recommend clearing your device cache to enhance your experience.

Clearing your cache on web



Windows



Step 1: On the Steer dashboard, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Del. This will bring up your browser's cache options.

Step 2: Depending on your browser, follow these steps:

BrowserSteps
Chrome1. Click on the three-dot menu in the top right corner. ; 2. Select 'More tools' > 'Clear browsing data'. ; 3. Choose 'Cached images and files'. ; 4. Click 'Clear data'.
Firefox1. Click on the menu button and choose 'Options'. ; 2. Select the 'Privacy & Security' panel. 3. In the 'Cookies and Site Data' section, click 'Clear Data…'. 4. Remove the check mark in front of 'Cookies and Site Data'. 5. With 'Cached Web Content' check marked, click 'Clear'.
Edge1. Click on the three-dot menu in the top right corner. ; 2. Select 'Settings'. ; 3. Under 'Clear browsing data', click 'Choose what to clear'. ; 4. Check the box next to 'Cached data and files'. ; 5. Click 'Clear'.


Mac



Step 1: On the Steer dashboard, press the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + Del. (Or Command + Shift + E if you're using Safari) This will bring up your browser's cache options.

BrowserSteps
Safari1. Click on 'Safari' in the menu bar. ; 2. Select 'Preferences'. ; 3. Go to the 'Advanced' tab. ; 4. Check 'Show Develop menu in menu bar'. ; 5. From the menu bar, click 'Develop'. ; 6. Select 'Empty Caches'.
Chrome1. Click on the three-dot menu in the top right corner. ; 2. Select 'More tools' > 'Clear browsing data'. ; 3. Choose 'Cached images and files'. ; 4. Click 'Clear data'.
Firefox1. Click on the menu button and choose 'Options'. ; 2. Select the 'Privacy & Security' panel. 3. In the 'Cookies and Site Data' section, click 'Clear Data…'. 4. Remove the check mark in front of 'Cookies and Site Data'. 5. With 'Cached Web Content' check marked, click 'Clear'.

Operating SystemSteps
iOS1. Open the 'Settings' app.; 2. Scroll down and tap 'Safari'. ; 3. Tap 'Clear History and Website Data'. ; 4. Confirm by tapping 'Clear History and Data'.
Android1. Open the 'Settings' app. ; 2. Tap 'Apps & notifications'. ; 3. Tap the app you want to clear cache for. ; 4. Tap 'Storage & cache'. ; 5. Tap 'Clear cache'.
