Customer Access Tool

Customer Access Tool extends Steer's capability to receive and display data to and from external and anonymous users. This feature allows users to create widgets, mobile apps, and embed portals from external websites to Steer. Take note that only users with Admin or Builder access can configure the Customer Access Tool.
To get started, expand the sidebar and go to Customer Access Tool . Then select from the following options of what you need to do:
Widget
Embed
Mobile App
E-Comm Catalog (coming soon)
Chatbot (coming soon)
The Widget Tool allows you to insert a floating widget on your website. Click on the Start Wizard button and it will redirect you to the Widget Form Generator page.
The Widget Form Generator is composed of two steps: The Branding and the Code Generator.
The Branding lets you customize beacon according to your needs. On the left side of the page, you will find the configuration properties for font, colors, and widget assets. On the right side is the preview for your widget which automatically displays the customization you made.
After finalizing the Branding, click on Proceed to generate the widget code. Once the code appears, you just have to copy and paste it in your webpage’s HTML code.
When you select Embed Tool, this will let you embed a full-page portal on your website, or insert a full-page public form without the need to log-in. Click on the Start Wizard button and it will redirect you to the Embed Code Generator page.
SELECT WHICH TOOL YOU WANT TO EMBED
Embedded Portal: Lets you embed and share forms to your users, and will require your users to register or login.
Public Forms: Lets you embed and share forms wherever you want without the need for registration.
EMBEDDED PORTAL
Click on Proceed to customize the form according to your needs.
On the left side, you will find the configuration properties for font and colors.
On the right side is the preview for your widget which automatically displays the customization you made.
After finalizing the form, click on Generate button to generate the embed code.
Once the code appears, you just have to copy and paste it in your webpage’s HTML code.
PUBLIC FORMS
Click on Proceed and it will show you a list of templates that you can use. Just select which public form you want to embed on your website.
Click Continue to customize the form according to your needs.
On the left side, you will find the configuration properties for font and colors.
On the right side is the preview for your widget which automatically displays the customization you made.
After finalizing the form, click on Generate button to generate the embed code.
Once the code appears, you just have to copy and paste it in your webpage’s HTML code.
The Mobile App option allows you to create an external mobile app for your organization. This feature walks you through the process of creating and designing the interface of your external mobile app.
Click on Start Wizard and you will be taken to the page where you will select the platform where you want to publish your mobile app. You may choose between Android and iOS or both.
Then, you must choose the layout of your app. After choosing one, click Continue.
You will be redirected to the Branding page where you can customize the color of your app interface, icon, logo, and name. The left panel is the Branding pane, where you can configure your app while the right panel is the Preview pane, where you will see all changes you made on the Branding pane.
After finalizing your customer app, you may click on Publish. Steer will send you an email after three (3) business days with an attachment of the mobile app file/s that you created.
Once you generate the code from your Embed or Widget tool, copy the upper section of the code inside the <head></head> or Header tag of the HTML code of your page:
And the lower section of the generated code inside the <body></body> or Body tag of the HTML code of your page:
