Condition

On QuickReach, a Condition is a type of Form Configuration that allows one or more form fields to stay hidden until it meets a certain parameter. Setting up a Condition in your form field will require you to You can access this setting by clicking on a column that contains a form element on your Form Builder.
Before we can configure the condition feature, the first requirement is to have at least a column in the form builder. With this in mind, let us create a sample Leave Application form. For this tutorial, the objective is to create a Leave Application form that will have a field called Destination that should only appear when Vacation Leave is set as the Leave Type
Now that the goal and the first requirement are set, let us set up the condition by following the steps below:
Step 1: Add two columns with Text Field element and have these as their respective Place Holder names: Leave Type and Destination. Just make sure that their Field IDs are unique.
Step 2: Click on Destination column. A pop-up will appear for the configuration properties of the column. Take note that it is always up to you which columns you want to configure first, depending on the form you are going to create.
Step 2: Go to the Conditions tab and click on Add Condition.
Step 3: Configure the following fields:
Control: This contains the fields from your form builder where the condition will depend from. For this, let us select the Leave Type column.
Condition: This is composed of the following:
Equal to: Requires the value of Control and Origin to be the same value
Not equal to: Requires Control and Origin to have different values
Greater than: Requires Control to have a higher numerical input than Origin
Less than: Requires Control value to have a lower numerical input than Origin value
Greater than or equal to: Requires Control value to have a higher or the same numerical input as Origin value
Less than or equal to: Requires Control value to have a lower or the same numerical input as Origin value
For this example, let us use Equal to.
Origin: Contains From Form and Input parameters:
From Form lets a user select from the form field controls .
Input lets a user define a specific value.
For this example, let us select Input with a value of Vacation Leave.
The configuration we made indicates that the value that must be entered in the Leave Type field should be Vacation Leave in order for the Destination field to appear.
Step 4: Save your work and let's check out its form preview. You will notice that the Destination field did not appear in the form. However when you type Vacation Leave in the Leave Type field (as this is the value you set in the input), only then that the Destination field will appear.
Take note that in a single column, you can always add another set of condition for as many as you like, and use different controls in each condition. As long as these conditions are met, then this field will be shown.
